Raj has a wealth of experience in the field of training and consultancy. Prior to joining Alzheimer’s Society in December 2014, Raj was previously Head of Training and Consultancy with the national mental health charity Mind from 2011 - 2014 and spent 10 years as Head of Training with the National Housing Federation. He is also a qualified trainer and has worked with hundreds of organisations across different sectors.

Communication is an increasing issue for carers, people living with dementia and health and social care staff. But do you know how to engage and communicate effectively with people living with dementia? People living with dementia often feel ignored, overlooked and experience distress when they feel their voice is not being heard. Based on the experience of delivering training to over 15,000 delegates in just 3 years, Alzheimer’s Society training team will explore the most effective ways to engage people with dementia which will benefit both parties and are designed to enhance an individual''s quality of life. It’s now what is said or what is done but how it’s said and how it’s done! This will be an interactive presentation aimed at people affected by dementia as well as health and social care professionals.
